Trick Recipes : Easy Caramel Cookies なんちゃってキャラメル

This is a continuation of the series ”Easy chocolate bar cookies,“ which we covered in one of our previous videos.
We made chocolate bar cookies with a lot of chocolate the other day. Now it’s time to do the same with caramel. We hope this will turn out to be more than just “easy” caramel! In this video, we will turn 10 caramels into 30 caramel cookies.

*Recipe* (for approximately 30 caramel cookies)

1. Put 10 pieces of caramel into a heat‐resistant container and pour 37 grams of cream onto it. Then microwave it until the caramel melts. We microwaved it for 40, 20, 10, and 10 seconds, with some stirring in between.

2. Pour 60 grams of cookie flour, 20 grams of almond powder, and 15 grams of sugar (we are using light brown sugar today) into a food processor, and process it briefly.

3. Pour 55 grams of mixture from step 1 into the food processor and stir it. You can use the rest as caramel dip sauce, which goes great with bread.

4. Shape it into a rectangle, and cool it in the fridge. Keep it in the fridge for more than one hour so that you can better handle it in the next step.

5. Cut it into rectangles, and streak each of the pieces to give them a caramel-like look.

6. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius, and bake the pieces for 12 minutes and 30 seconds. We re-positioned them at 7 minute mark, and as they were starting to scorch, we put aluminum foil over them.

7. Once they cool down, wrap the pieces like caramel to for a fun serving experience.

Once baked, the pieces get larger by a little under 20%. The actual caramels are 1.7 centimeters by 1.7 centimeters and 1.2 centimeters thick, so if you want the baked pieces to match the size, make pieces that are 1.4 centimeters by 1.4 centimeters and 1 centimeter thick and bake them. Today the pieces turned out a little too big and cannot fit inside the box, because we did not factor in the expansion. By the way, the size of the wrapping paper we used is 7.5 centimeters by 4.5 centimeters.

1.耐熱容器にキャラメル 10個と生クリーム37gを入れ、電子レンジにかけ、キャラメルを溶かす。今回、600wの電子レンジで、40秒→20秒→10秒→10秒とかけ、その都度、混ぜて溶かしました。
2.フードプロセッサーに薄力粉 60g、アーモンドパウダー 20g、砂糖(今回、きび砂糖)15gを入れ、ざっと混ぜる。
4.四角に整え、冷蔵庫で冷やす。1時間以上 冷やすと扱いやすい。
